Woodstock was a pivotal weekend in rock & roll history.
A half-million people converged on Yasgur's Farm in tiny Bethel, NY, for a weekend of Peace, Love and Music. Most of them were teenagers, or barely in their 20s.
Despite a ton of rain, lack of food, and not enough bathrooms, the miracle of Woodstock is that it all stayed amazingly calm.
Instead of anger & violence, there was peace & love.
And music of course! World-changing music.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, all weekend long I'll be spinning never before aired live tracks recorded at the original festival in August 1969. Songs from Janis Joplin, Credence Clear Water Revival, the Grateful Dead and more. Can't wait to experience Woodstock with you this weekend.
